Adult & Teen Challenge began in New York in 1958. In only a few years, Adult & Teen Challenge began its fast march toward becoming the largest network of rehab centers in the world. Today, it includes over 1,200 centers in 110 countries.

The reason that Adult & Teen Challenge centers have experienced this kind of expansion is simple: the program works! More men and women remain sober after completing these long-term residential programs than pretty much any other rehab program. They remain abstinent long after leaving the program, and most do so without having to attend AA and NA meetings forever. If your loved one is suffering from drug addiction or is an alcoholic, recovery is available through this effective program. 60 years of successful recovery for thousands of individuals speaks for itself.

Addiction – More Than a Medical Issue for Women in Hermitage, Tennessee

The problem, however, is that these kinds of programs fail to produce long-lasting recovery. Short-term effort equals short-term results. The long-term Adult & Teen Challenge program nearby in Western Kentucky produces lifelong results, and it does so without costing the family a fortune. It is one of few addiction rehab programs that will work with an addict for a full year, and for just a few hundred dollars a week (not thousands or even tens of thousands per week that many rehabs charge).

rehab for womenYour loved one will devote a great deal of her time learning a completely new way to live without the substances that were once the center of her universe. From [sunrise to the end of each day, she will learn to replace her self-centered thinking with a new, positive plan of action. Rather than selfish inward thinking, she experience the value of serving others and genuinely begin to care for others. Your loved one will change the way they think, the way she behaves, and ultimately, become a totally different person. You’ll see the person you once knew come to the surface again, full of joy and gratitude for having a new lease on life.

The Adult & Teen Challenge rehab centers work on the premise that addicts and alcoholics seek to fill a spiritual void in their life through substance abuse. These substances can only cover up hurts or to achieve a false “high”, but they come around to bite the user. The addiction soon consumes their life, their finances, and their relationships. But they pull themselves out of the black hole they find themselves in. There seems to be no way out on their own.

This Drug and Alcohol Recovery Center in Western Kentucky Offers Hope for Women from Hermitage, Tennessee

rehabRecovering women are re-introduced to the world they once shunned. They are given responsibilities and jobs, all meant to develop their self-esteem. They learn a positive attitude and learn to be thankful for even the smallest kindness. They are held accountable by both the staff and recovering women who have been in the program longer than them. This peer element is one of the most effective elements of a long-term program, because just like you can’t kid a kidder, you cannot hide bad attitudes, lies or missteps from those who have been through addiction themselves. They know what to look out for.

More about rehabs for women in Hermitage, Tennessee:

Hermitage, Tennessee is a section of Metropolitan Nashville, Tennessee located in eastern Davidson County, adjacent to, and named in honor of, The Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson, seventh President of the United States. Though the area is incorporated as part of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, it maintains its own identity as a residential and commercial suburban area.

Hermitage is located immediately to the east of Donelson, a Nashville borough which is named in honor of Jackson’s father-in-law John Donelson, and just to the west of Mount Juliet in adjacent Wilson County. A rural area only thirty years ago,[when?] Hermitage is now a thriving district with a highly-developed network of retail stores and typical suburban tract houses ranging from the “starter home” to the “executive residence”. The technology headquarters of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, one of the Big Four auditors, is located in Hermitage, sprawling over 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2) and employing over 1,000 people. Hermitage is a small example of urban sprawl. An array of apartments exists as well. Major thoroughfares include U.S. Highway 70, Interstate 40, and State Route 45. The city also has a station on the new Music City Star commuter rail service and is also home to the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association, the organization which administers junior and senior high school sporting events.

Hermitage is divided from Donelson by the Stones River and its bottom lands, Clover Bottom. It has benefited greatly from the impoundment of the Stones by J. Percy Priest Dam, a nearby United States Army Corps of Engineers project, which provides a great deal of recreation opportunities, particularly in the summer months, and which has contributed greatly to the desirability and value of the area’s real estate. Hermitage and Donelson are often thought of as something of a unit, and even have a joint Chamber of Commerce and Christmas parade.

Hermitage is generally thought to be at least roughly coextensive with its United States Postal Service ZIP Code of 37076.
