The Focus

Kentucky Women’s Rehab Focuses on the Total Person

All aspects of our Kentucky Women’s Rehab program focus on abstinence from drugs and alcohol and, most importantly, building the foundation to support recovery for a lifetime, including spiritual recovery.

  • Spiritual Renewal: We know that the student’s symptoms indicate deeper problems and conflicts; we understand that a new life in Christ will give them the power and ability to overcome these problems and live a more productive life.
  • Emotional Healing: The healing of past abuses is necessary. Biblical studies enhance mental growth and serve as a foundation for creating new lives.
  • Physical Well-being: Our unwavering commitment extends to fulfilling the physical requirements of our students. A drug-free sanctuary, nourishment, and recreational outlets – these essential components significantly influence a student’s triumphant progression through the program.
  • Social Progression: Equipping students with the tools to navigate interpersonal challenges with peers and family is paramount. The character virtues cultivated in our classrooms seamlessly transition into practical application, enhancing their daily interactions.
  • Educational Empowerment:  Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to impart life skills pivotal for successful reintegration into society. Encompassing a wide array of subjects, from the physiological dimensions of addiction to boundary establishment, anger management, coping strategies, relapse prevention, and cognitive behavioral techniques, we ensure a robust foundation for enduring addiction recovery.

Why Choose Kentucky Women’s Rehab as Your First Choice?

Distinguishing from the commonly discussed brief interventions, programs such as Teen Challenge Kentucky Women’s Rehab offer a profound departure in long-term substance abuse treatment. Unlike the fleeting “revolving door” approaches that temporarily address addiction, these programs fail to delve into the root causes, leading to recurring addiction cycles. Consequently, individuals often find themselves in a repetitive loop of rehabs, each stint yielding short-lived results while leaving the core issues unaddressed. This relentless pattern not only exacts a substantial financial toll on the individual but also places strains on their insurance provider and family, incurring costs that can extend into tens of thousands of dollars with each recurrence.

Day after day, Teen Challenge substance abuse treatment centers bear witness to individuals who have undergone a disheartening cycle of 5, 10, 20, or even 30 fleeting rehabs, only to find themselves ensnared in the same troubling predicament. It becomes increasingly evident that these individuals could have bypassed this circuitous journey altogether had they initially chosen Kentucky Women’s Rehab as their primary destination for recovery.

At Kentucky Women’s Rehab, we stand as a beacon of lasting transformation, providing an alternative to the ineffectual and costly cycle of short-term interventions. By choosing us from the outset, individuals can forge a path toward sustainable healing and liberation from the grasp of addiction.

What Sets Kentucky Women’s Rehab Apart?

Teen Challenge Kentucky is one of few programs to dedicate a year to working with each addict. That is a huge financial commitment by the organization and community, but it is the time needed for the recovery rates to be what they are. The day-to-day structure, community, and faith emphasis over such an extended period bring addicts slowly out of wrong and drug-impacted thinking into an awareness of a purpose for their life and a new way of thinking and living. Such a new purpose and way of living has no place for abusing drugs or alcohol; addiction is replaced by self-love, peace, happiness, purpose, and excitement for the future.

Will Forced Avoidance of Substances Solve the Problem?

The short answer is “No.” Detoxing and keeping an individual from drugs or alcohol only lasts as long as the addict is in a controlled environment. After that, if other life issues are not dealt with, the addict will return to the addiction. This isn’t because it is a disease — it is a learned behavior for covering up the individual’s hurts and longings, and it feels good initially. Yes, Teen Challenge substance abuse treatment programs separate addicts from their addicting substances for longer. Still, their harder work is replacing the addiction with a whole new way of living. They gradually work the individual back into the community with a new goal in life, and they have the strength to avoid negative behaviors and environments on their own.

Teen Challenge Southeast adult centers also teach responsibility, work ethic, and pride in work. More importantly, they instill truthfulness and trustworthiness in each individual, the cornerstones of relationships and responsibilities.

Residents learn more about purpose in life and how to enter into a future that is free from the oppression of old wounds, creating a solid foundation for the future, and identifying and utilizing their unique gifts and talents.

Level Four (12 weeks) – Transition
Residents begin taking practical steps toward putting what they’ve learned into action by securing employment and housing, participating in effective management of their time and resources, and by learning how to become leaders who give back to the families and communities they are re-entering.

Kentucky Women’s Rehab Definition of Addiction

Addiction is characterized by an individual’s loss of control over the continuing use of a substance or behavior. The user becomes obsessed with the substance or behavior despite adverse consequences and vigorously denies the existence of a problem if confronted. The user will do just about anything to maintain their addiction, so it affects not only the person. Still, it can also damage families, relationships, careers, and many other aspects of life. The Teen Challenge adult residential substance abuse treatment programs are designed to provide long-term recovery from such addictions.
